Hen Weekends Party Ideas

When it comes to coordinating a friend’s final night of unmarried freedom, both girls and guys tend to fall into the same traps. Though women might not be quite as guilty of this as the men, both groups often throw caution to the wind and do not properly plan these events. While there is something to be said for leaving some things to chance, a hen party is not one of them.

That is why you should always take the time to investigate your options and plan a few interesting and exciting surprises for the evening. And by surprises we don’t mean a handsome hunk dressed up as a fireman or police officer. That is pretty much par for the course. We’re talking about things that might just make the party a memorable experience.

One of the most popular hen party traditions is to have a theme, which means that everyone dresses up in a preselected costume or uniform. For example, a party might choose the theme of angels or devils or even of gangsters or molls. Though this might not be particularly original, it can be quite fun and effective at getting some of the shier girls out of their comfort zones.

Remember, a theme can be partial or complete. For instance, if your theme is angels and devils, you might choose to serve angel or devil’s food, have pitch forks and halos, or even get a little naughty by wearing some racy red or white lingerie under your costume.

A word of caution: even though hen weekends are traditionally a night of adult debauchery and fun, it is important to respect people’s boundaries. If you have a friend who is either married or dating someone special and they ask you not to hire a stripper, it is best to respect these requests.
